Abstract: A major issue in adaptive optics is the correction of disturbance. In this paper, we present the experimental demonstration of Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control with disturbance mitigation on multiple modes. The results demonstrate a clear improvement of performance for LQG with disturbance mitigation compared with the traditional proportional plus integral (PI) control-that the energy of residual disturbance for LQG is nearly half of the PI, and verify the advantage of LQG in the mitigation of narrowband disturbance. The root mean square (RMS) of residual disturbance is reduced by approximately 30% with narrowband disturbance filtering. |
