High Definition Radiation Tolerant Camera System Born

Radiation is dangerous not only for human, but also for equipment system. Nuclear radiation is extremely dangerous. So human needs radiation tolerant equipment in extreme environment.

Nuclear-level Underwater High Definition Radiation Tolerant Camera System (HD-RTCS), which was developed, used successfully in the domestic nuclear power base. Compared with the same kind product, the technical parameter is in a leading position. The advent of the camera broke the monopoly of the foreign products and it is the first in china.

The High Definition Radiation Tolerant Camera System (HD-RTCS) IOE - CPR - M adopts unique radiation shielding technology, can work stably 100 hours in 5000 gy/h dose rate, and have excellent image output. The camera is also equipped with special underwater dynamic seal parts, can work in 100 meters underwater stably and reliably, it is the biggest advantage of this system. In addition, because of its high performance image sensor, the resolution of up to 2 million pixels, can output 1080P high-definition video at the same time. Under the precise motor drive, the system is sensitive, smooth operation, at any speed can guarantee the captured image dithering phenomenon. Because the system can continuous rotation in the horizontal direction 360 degrees, so no monitoring blind area in the plant monitoring work underwater. The above technical characteristics make its foot can be comparable to similar foreign products, realize the "made in China" in the field.

The High Definition Radiation Tolerant Camera System (HD-RTCS) has wide application in nuclear power plants: to ensure the fuel in place through all-round assembly operations monitoring of underwater fuel during refueling outages of nuclear power plants; to understand fuel operation condition through special underwater high-definition appearance inspection and measurement of the nuclear fuels; to ensure that fuels are loaded properly through final safe inspection of fuels in spent fuel pool of nuclear power plant. It is worth mentioning that HD-RTCS can finish video detection and image processing in the high temperature underwater environment with the technology of turbulence restoration and image measurement developed independently by the Institute of Optics and Electronics the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and get high quality video image data. Overall, HD-RTCS has greatly improved the security of the nuclear fuel operation, and ensure long-term safe operation of assembly fuel. It is understood that HD-RTCS has played a great function during refueling outages of the major nuclear power bases, and nuclear experts put forward the consistent affirmation for its high performance, high reliability and high stability.

National Nuclear Long-and-medium Term Development Planning (2011-2020) says that nuclear power capacity of our country will attain 58 million kilowatts, and construction capacity will come to 30 million kilowatts by 2020. We can foresee that HD-RTCS will play a more important value in the field of national economy, along with the vigorous growth momentum of nuclear power.
