Midyear summing-up meeting and signing ceremony hold in IOE
The IOE midyear summing-up meeting and signing ceremony for the responsibility document of technological and economic targets (functional management) is held in the academic hall in the morning of August 1. About 100 staff attended this meeting, including all members of leadership, all the technological elites and the middle-ranking cadres, etc. This meeting is chaired by vice-director, YANG Hu.
At this meeting, the director, ZHANG Yudong,briefly reviewed our working accomplishments during China's 11th Five-Year Plan and summed up our works of the first half of this year. He also directed the work deployment and requirements of the second half year of 2011.He pointed out that IOE institute has made remarkable progress in our National missions, scientific and technological achievements, published papers and books, etc, during China’s 11th Five-Year Plan and we should take discipline development plan as our key task, at the same time, each research laboratory of IOE should implement national missions, and condense our academic foundation and direction to establish discipline development plan for preparing and deploying of the new Five-Year Plan on the opening year of China's 12th Five-Year Plan. He said we launched the evaluation of middle-ranking cadres and research laboratories, and the assessment of "three-determined" program of support service units, etc, recently. We found gaps and disadvantage through these evaluations and assessments, and then we can create a new development landscape. Each research laboratory, especially the academic leaders of each field, should study the demands of our country in depth and make the discipline technology development plan. In the report, he also gave a brief introduction to the evaluation of performance allowance, the adjustment of incentive policy, the adjustment of cadre and the relevant policy of other public utilities that the staff concerned generally. Finally, he stressed that all IOE staff should understand the situation, actively deploy the work for the coming second half year, make the right choice and make more effort for success.
At last, the representatives from each department presented the department responsibility document of technological and economical (functional management) targets respectively and signed the document on behalf of each department with the director, ZHANG Yudong, and the secretary, CHEN Shengli.
