A lecture on Fibre Arrayed Solar Optical Telescope was given by Professor QU Zhongquan in Academic hall of The Institute of Optics and Electronics, on March 24, 2011.

In the lecture, he gave the conception design of Fibre Arrayed Solar Optical Telescope (FASOT), which caused great concern in the International workshop on solar polarization. About 100 researchers and graduates attended the lecture.

Professor QU Zhongquan is a professor of Yunnan Astronomical Observatory Chinese Academy of Sciences, devoting himself to the research on solar physics and the structure of solar atmosphere vector magnetic field.
