On June 1, 2010, CAS released the winners of the Outstanding Youth Award of CAS. Professor RAO Changhui in IOE was in the list.

CAS Outstanding Youth Award was established in 1995 by Chinese Academy of Science to stimulate excellent innovative young. Since establishing the award, about 100 young persons have been honored this prize. Until now, only three youth in IOE are in the list.

Professor RAO is an academic leading person. He has been devoted to many high-tech programs, national science funding project  as a leader of teams and as a backbone researcher. He possesses 45 patents, and has published over 100 research papers, in which 26 papers are listed on SCI index and 78 are listed in Ei database. His dissertation for doctoral degree is in the list of top 100 excellent doctoral dissertations of 2003.
